Hester Ullyart likes it darker. She has written - and performs - Paragon Dreams at Hull Truck's Studio theatre until May the 4th. It explores the low-lit, unnoticed corners of the city, and drags up the buried truth from the murk and mud of the Humber. We talk about taking the leap, ubiquitous Hullensians and David Lynch.

Seeing Hull, and its people, on stage or screen was once a rare thing. That began to change about 40 years ago and our stories are now regularly seen.
